Welcome to Youth Leadership at the Y! At the YMCA’s Youth Leadership program, we are dedicated to igniting the full potential of young individuals through a transformative journey that encompasses career-connected learning and academic achievement. Our approach thrives on inclusivity, creating a diverse and welcoming environment where every young person feels valued and empowered to lead. Through mentorship and a youth-led ethos, we not only cultivate the leaders of tomorrow but also nurture a community that champions collaboration, innovation, and the limitless possibilities that arise when young minds are given the guidance and opportunities they need to shine.
Welcome to the Youth Development Center at the Y!
The Youth Development Center (YDC) also known as the Teen Center is a safe space for all teens to come and be who they are, meet new friends, and try new skills. There is a YDC located at all six of our YMCA of Snohomish County locations. Each day at the YDC has a different theme or activity planned around it so teens can try new things or hang out and do homework if needed.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County
Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures. We nurture children and strengthen communities. And we couldn’t do any of it without you. Since its inception, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As part of the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
