Volleyball was pioneered by the YMCA in the 1870’s, and today it is still a very much-loved sport for those who want a challenging, captivating game to try. In the Y’s recreational youth volleyball league, players learn the fundamentals of volleyball, sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy habits while sharpening skills like spiking, setting and serving, practicing drills and having fun. This league is open to all genders.

Teams practice weekly and play games on the weekend, including home games and games against other YMCA’s in the County. Teams will play a mid-season tournament and will end with an all branch End of Season Tournament. All teams are led by volunteer coaches. All branches will host preseason coaches trainings and player clinics.
