Bethy

Hi! My name is Bethy Fleshman and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and an ACE Certified Group Exercise Instructor. I played sports most of my life but stopped exercising regularly after having my first kid in 2007. I started going to group exercise classes in 2015 and rediscovered my love of exercise, especially in a social setting. I love exercising with other people! I became a personal trainer to help other people rediscover or discover for the first time their love of movement. I want you to know that you can do it, too! I would love to work with you and help you be the best you possible! When I’m not at the Y I’m usually hanging out with my husband and four children, playing games, watching TV, or going to numerous sports, drama, or robotics events.

Amy

My name is Amy Bomar and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Exercise Instructor, and hold 500 hours of training as a Yoga Teacher. My training style combines my love of human motion and passion for helping others to move better in their bodies. My goals are for each individual to walk away with a successful workout, strong awareness of how their body moves, and learn something new so they can further challenge themselves toward their goals.
If I’m not training or teaching I enjoy being with my family, playing outside, camping, traveling, cooking, studying human movement performance and moonlighting as an aerial artist.

Dan

My name is Dan Harer and I am an Ace Certified Personal Trainer. I have a passion for exercise and the connection between body and mind. I look forward to helping you grow. I enjoy strength training, team sports, and yoga. When I’m not in the gym you’ll find me hanging out with my wife, busy toddler and experiencing the amazing world we live.

Esther

I’ve been active my entire life with sports, martial arts, dance, and eventually finding my way into the fitness industry through group exercise. I discovered how beneficial personal training could be after working with one to achieve my “perfect body,” but also realized some hard truths after I lost it when I could no longer afford to work with them anymore. I became a trainer because I have a passion for giving people the knowledge, tools, and “why” behind things so that we can make progress together, but also so they can continue if their life’s circumstances change. I am a NASM certified trainer and hold several certifications in different group exercise formats. I have an aquatic and swim instruction background for those looking for cross-training in the pool, aquatic exercise with my swim instruction and coaching certifications. I also am a competitive rower and martial artist, and so I also work well with athletes and those looking to increase performance.

Cheryl

Becoming a NASM-CPT was a natural transition for me after being a collegiate basketball coach for the past 20 years. Sports, movement, and nutrition have been integral in my life as a former collegiate basketball player at UW (Go Dawgs!). Though not pacing a college sideline anymore, I find joy in coaching my kids youth sports team. My goal is to help individuals find their inner athlete, strength, and confidence through movement. Health and wellness is a long journey that is not a straight line. My inner coach would love to help keep you motivated, encouraged, and challenged so you can reach your goals.

Youngmin

My name is Youngmin Kim and I’m a NASM certified trainer. I got into the fitness industry late in the game, spending most of my career as a 3D Artist, but fitness has been a part of my life since high school. Wherever I’ve lived I’ve always prioritized finding my “home” gym, even while living abroad. I have a passion to help people get back in shape, make exercise approachable, and to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Outside the gym, I’m playing sports with my son, helping my daughter become a better artist, manning the BBQ smoker, and cheering on my Michigan Wolverines like a man possessed. Go Blue!

Maddux

I am an ACE certified trainer, who enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and ages. Developing good habits and discipline is always important to me when training. My background is Taekwondo as a second degree black belt instructor, as well as MMA where I have competed and helped prepare and condition athletes and hobbyists alike. I am passionate about seeing people succeed and grow their own intrinsic motivation to make fitness a way of life. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
