Summer camp at the YMCA of Snohomish County is so much more than a fun summer for all. At YMCA camp kids grow, build skills and gain self-confidence in a values-based environment. Our camps have much to offer kids from preschool to 11th grade. As always, the focus of our camps is to make a positive impact on your child: Relationships, Achievement, and Belonging are constant themes at camp.

Every counselor is trained and background-checked. We maintain small group sizes and clear safety protocols. Your child's wellbeing comes first. Camp staff receive more than 40 hours in training prior to the start of camp. Training includes CPR, First Aid, child abuse prevention, emergency procedures, water safety, behavior guidance, and more.

Y staff members are trained to help children with mild to moderate diverse–abilities. However, our facilities are not adequately staffed to work with children who need significant assistance with personal care, constant one–to–one support, or have great difficulty managing their behavior in a group setting. If your child requires specialized accommodations, please contact your local YMCA family branch.

Camper Safety

YMCA camp staff are dedicated to providing a safe and wholesome environment for each camper. Camp staff are chosen for their maturity, strong values, enthusiasm and ability to be positive role models for children.
Authorized Pickups
Campers are only released to pre-authorized adults. Photo ID is required.
Staff Training
Camp staff receive more than 40 hours in training prior to the start of camp. Training includes CPR, First Aid, child abuse prevention, emergency procedures, water safety, and updated COVID-19 protocols.
Face Checks
Camp staff perform face checks and take attendance numerous times throughout the day and at every transition.
Handwashing
Campers and staff practice frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Campers will be required to wash their hands upon arriving to camp, before and after meals, and as often as possible throughout the day.
COVID-19
We follow the current Washington State Department of Health and Snohomish Health District COVID-19 camp guidelines.
Group Size
Group sizes will be limited, and we will follow current guidance regarding camp group ratios and maximum campers per site. Campers will remain in consistent groups throughout the camp week. Overnight Camp: Cabins have a maximum ratio of 1 staff to 7 campers.
Allergies & Dietary Restrictions (For Overnight Camp)
Camp does not cook with or serve peanuts in meals or snacks. Food Services does its best to accommodate all special diets including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Care is given to provide nutritionally balanced food, which meets a broad range of dietary needs and preferences. Individualized meal plans are not offered; however, for guests with dietary restrictions, there are places with refrigerators, microwaves if supplemental food is required.

What Types of Camps Does the Y offer?
We offer summer day camps, overnight camp, family camp, and adventure guides. The majority of our camps that we offer run during the summer, but our Family Camp and Adventure Guides run throughout the whole year.
