We are incredibly proud to share that staff at the Monroe/Sky Valley Family YMCA have been recognized by Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue with the Civilian Life Saving Award – an honor given for extraordinary assistance in a lifesaving effort before the arrival of first responders.

In recognition of our 125th anniversary, the YMCA of Snohomish County is proud to launch The Story Place, a storytelling podcast shaped by people, place, and connection.

The YMCA of Snohomish County has been awarded a $100,000 Global Engagement Grant from Boeing to sustain and expand hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs for youth and teens across the county. 

This year marks the 125th anniversary of the YMCA of Snohomish County, celebrating more than a century of strengthening our community and ensuring everyone has a place to belong. Since opening its doors on January 23, 1901, the Y has been a trusted partner to generations of families—responding to local needs and helping neighbors thrive.
