THE MUK

The YMCA proudly provides the only staffed skate facility in Snohomish County. “THE MUK” is one of the largest outdoor Skate Park’s in the state and a great place to visit. We offer group and private lessons for all ages, summer long skate camps, monthly events and more! Helmets are required, pads are optional. Helmets, pads, scooters, and skateboards can be rented for no additional cost.

Park Hours

Park is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3-7 PM.

Skate Park Use Options

Free with a YMCA Facility Membership
Skate Membership (For use of skate park only) $30/month
Day Pass – Purchased at Welcome Center – waiver still required – $5/day for non-members

An annual waiver must be completed for every skater; waivers are signed electronically via email or text by a parent/guardian.

Private Skate Lessons

Welcome Shredders! Learn to skate starting with the basics or push to the next level! Our skateboarding instructors will guide participants through the basics of pushing, pumping and more! Lessons are held for 30 minutes. Children ages 4-6 must have parent present.

4 lessons | 30 Minutes | $144 Facility Members | $192 Community Members
Private lessons- 30 minutes and can be scheduled based on availability of instructor and participant.
Lessons must be used up before end of season (November 2023) and cannot be refunded.

Group Skate Lessons – Starting June 2023

8 lessons | 4 weeks (2 lessons/week) | $104 Facility Members

Skill Levels

Upon signing up for a lesson, it is important to classify what skill level the rider is at. To better assess one’s skill level, please read the skill classifications below.

Summer Skate Camp

Engage yourself in the world of skateboarding with our weeklong summer skate programs that run from June 26th to August 19th. Regardless of your ability level, learn new tricks and participate in games with our caring instructors in a fun, safe, and positive environment joined by other skateboarders like yourself! This program is geared to teach how to skateboard, scooters not permitted. Open to ages 8-14. Younger ages permitted based on skill level.

Grommets Varsity Skate Team

Skate as a team; join the Grommets 15 and under skateboard team! Continue to progress your skateboarding skills and expand on your passion. Join us to practice twice a week with caring instructors. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-8 PM and the team has exclusive time at THE MUK. Grommets will be encouraged to participate in MUK Games and other skate competitions and events throughout the area. This program is meant for advanced level skateboarders.

MUK Bridgade Skate Team

Join the 15 and under MUK Brigade Skateboard Crew! Progress your skateboarding skills and do so with skateboarders of all ability levels. Work with our instructors twice to learn new skills and make new friends. Join us twice a week for practice! MUK Brigade riders will be encouraged to participate in MUK Games and other skate competitions and events throughout the area. This program is meant for intermediate level skateboarders.

Way of Life – Adult Skate Programming
