Stanwood-Camano YMCA Personal Training

We’re now offering in-branch personal training!

We have experienced, certified personal trainers who are ready to create a personalized program to help you achieve your goals, no matter your current fitness level.

Y personal trainers provide the motivation and accountability to support you through every physical challenge and encourage you to try your hardest. Each one-on-one session will push you to your maximum potential, while ensuring proper form with a workout tailored to you. Through undivided attention and expert advice, your trainer will guide you every step of your journey.

Are you rehabbing from an injury? Are you looking to build muscle? Do you want to improve mobility? Your trainer genuinely cares about your goals and will partner with you to support, motivate, and celebrate your successes.

Meet Your Trainers

Heather

I am a certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. I believe that we are all designed to move. Intentional movement brings health and youth to our bodies. My passion is helping each person find joy in movement. I look forward to helping you design a program that works for you and helping move forward on your health and wellness journey. With my support and commitment, you will exceed your goals.

Gena

I joined the YMCA Health and Wellness team in the summer of 2018 and I’m certified to instruct Cycle Together, Cycle 30, Pedaling for Parkinson’s, Strength Train Together, and Defend Together. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council of Sport and Fitness (NCSF). I love working with people to help them reach their goals in weight loss, strength, endurance and range of motion.

I began my fitness journey at age eight when I joined my local swim team. I swam competitively until age 18, traveling all over the state of Washington. When it came time to choose a field of study, I found myself gravitating toward the Human Kinetics program at Trinity Western. In college, I was involved with programs such as study of body movement, athletic therapy, physical education, nutrition, and exercise. I took some time off to stay home with my kids, but now I’m very excited to be working with the YMCA family and helping people stay active.
One of my ultimate joys in life is to watch people live active lives and to see them achieve their fitness goals.

All packages include a complimentary orientation for your first session. Get to know your trainer, share your goals and fitness history, and then you’re ready to get to work!

  • Safety, Sanitation, and Social Distancing Practices

    The safety of our staff and members is our highest priority. You’ll notice new signage throughout our facilities encouraging frequent handwashing, cleaning of the equipment before and after use, and social distancing from other Y members.

    Please bring your own water bottle and towel (if needed) to your session. Water fountain use is restricted to water bottle filling stations only and there is no towel service provided. Currently our pool, showers, basketball courts, hot tubs, saunas, and locker rooms are closed. Locker rooms are available for restrooms and handwashing only.
