At the Monroe/Sky Valley Family YMCA, we offer a wide variety of Health and Wellness programs from personal training to group exercises, including group cycle, aerobics, yoga, and specialty programs. View our group exercise schedules for more details.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) | 14+

Stand Up Paddle Boarding is back with a variety of SUP styles! All levels welcome! May include 101 skills, boot camp activities, and/or yoga exercises. All participants must pass a newly updated (per open water standards) swim test before class starts.

Girls Lifting Group | 10-16

Participants will learn proper form, lifting mechanics, nutrition and hydration information, different variations of exercises and more. Registration includes the participant and a friend, also commemorative shirts for both.

Tween & Teen Motion and Strength FUNdamentals

Participants will engage in individual and partner exercises that focuses on coordination, flexibility, agility and speed. Primary focus is to build fundamental movement patterns enhancing muscular endurance and strength.

Healthy Kidney Class

“One out of 10 American adults has chronic kidney disease. This Puget Sound Kidney Centers community presentation explains why kidneys are so important to your health and how to keep them healthy. This class teaches kidney basics; how your kidneys work, what they need to stay healthy,      nutritional basics for kidney health and practical tips and tools to keep your kidneys working well. This presentation will also include a cooking demo, food tasting and time for questions to be answered by professionals who work in kidney health.”

Small Group Cooking with Mel | Ages 18+

Would you like to learn more about whole-food-plant-based cooking options? Grab a friend few friends and sign up for a small group cooking class with Mel to learn how to prep and cook a nutrient-packed, flavorful meal, while learning about the amazing benefits of whole-food-plant-based eating. Plus, get meal plan tips, create nutrition goals, and more.

When: Schedule a time with Melina. Register at Member Services.
Cost: $75 FM Per Person minimum 4 people

Wellness Yoga

This class is done mostly seated, and focuses on mobility needs: Increasing balance, core strength, joint mobility, movement pattern fluidity, nervous system and mind body connections. Catering to age related issues, people with Parkinson’s Disease, MS, and anyone who just wants to stay moving with stability, peace, and ease. Everyone is welcome, YMCA membership not required.

Mondays and Wednesdays | Noon – 1:15 pm
Cost: $5 per person | $3 for caregivers | First class free to all

Wander in the Wild | 18+

What do you wear? What do you bring? Where do you go? Aren’t you worried about bears?? Washington is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors, and along with learning how to be in the wild safely and respectfully, we’ll go on some great hikes together!

When: Returning in the fall, more information coming soon.

Racquetball Courts

Come play racquetball and volleyball at our Y. Spaces available all day, and you can reserve a court up to 24 hours in advance. We provide all the equipment you need, but feel free to bring your own equipment as well. Please call 360 805 1879 to reserve a court, or stop by the Welcome Center.

90 Days to Wellness

90 Days to Wellness is a special program designed for our members to have a healthy living experience like no other. During the 90 days members will have an opportunity to select one of three exclusive programs only offered at the Monroe YMCA where they will work with not only our amazing Wellness staff but also build relationships within our community. Members will be connected with a Wellness Coach that best fits their lifestyle and guided through three months of fitness and nutritional education. Some of our amazing program offerings included will be free wellness appointments (unlimited to you), group exercises classes, group cycle, walking group, pizza night, family fun activities and more.
