At the Y, we believe the ability to swim is a critical life skill.
When you learn to swim, you gain confidence, acquire safety/rescue skills, and experience water activities you can enjoy for a lifetime. Throughout all stages, we teach students how to be safe and more comfortable in the water.
The YMCA has long been America’s favorite swimming instructor. Whether just learning how to swim, improving strokes, or taking water exercise classes, members are in safe hands with our certified swimming instructors and lifeguards.
Jump in to the pool during Open or Family Swim to enjoy our pool together, included in your membership. There is always a lap lane open during facility hours, and during special times we invite you to enjoy the slide. Special events like Pumpkins in the Pool, the Winter Beach Bash, and the Easter Egg Splash are community fun to look forward to!
Swim Lessons are available for everyone 6 months and older. Whether you are increasing your comfortability around water or want to improve your stroke technique, group or private lessons your instructor will fit your needs & goals. If you want to get in a workout while your child participates in swim lessons, check out our free Scooters program that allows parents time while their child plays before the instruction.

The Mill Creek Barracudas Swim Team offers youth the opportunity to learn about swimming as a sport while having fun. Coaching includes the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility while working on endurance training and stroke techniques.
