Family time at the Y is about giving families as a unit, and as individuals, the opportunities to deepen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community.

January 31 – Family Movie Night
Wear your cozy pajamas and bring a blanket and join us for Movie Night (movie TBD). Concessions available for purchase benefiting the Youth and Government program. Free and open to the community.

February 21 – Mad Hatter Tea Party
Don’t be late for a very important date! Join us for a magical Mad Hatter Tea Party. As you take part in this silly celebration, sip on tea, nibble delicious snacks and decorate cookies with Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts. Enjoy a night of crafts, games, snacks, and family fun.
Preschool Building Blocks
This is a nurturing program that helps build steps for learning as your child grows with us. We encourage peer interaction, listening and kindness through games and at our active circle time. Age appropriate concepts are taught through each core block program: Story Time, Imagination Station, Gym Games, Music & Movement, plus science and sensory activities.

We have had many years of growing with your children in our Preschool Building Blocks ages 3-5 that many of you have requested a program for your younger children. We have heard you and are excited to offer our Preschool Building Blocks Tiny 2’s Little 3’s program. This will be offered with the same core principles of our older program but for children ages 2-3. This program is suitable for children who are currently 2 1/2 years old and 3-year olds who are not potty-trained or ready for Building Blocks.

Common Ground Community Garden
Our Y grows produce in a community/neighborly environment, learning together as we grow and promote healthy habits. Check out the garden that is tucked away in the back of our property.
This class is for kids that like to craft and enjoy sewing. Ms. Eileen leads weekly projects and leaves room for each participant to add their own touch to each project. No experience sewing necessary. Ages 8+.

Families Growing Veggies Together
Take part in growing a vegetable garden with your family here at the Y. We will explore gardening through games, science, crafts, books and good ol’ fashioned hard work. Session 1 will focus on building and planting. Session 2 will focus on growing and harvesting your garden, and taking home produce with each week.
Super Sitters & Kids Safe 101
Super Sitters – This program is designed to train ages 11-15 in basic babysitting and home-alone skills. Students completing this course will be better prepared to provide a safer and more positive infant/child care experience. Taught by a hospital-qualified instructor, this class includes parent expectations, basic first aid, home & fire safety, Heimlich maneuver, telephone tips, toys and infant care.
Kid Safe 101 – This 3-hour home alone class will help your 9-13 year old take the next step in independence while giving you peace of mind. Topics include responsibilities when staying home alone, simple first aid, abdominal thrusts for choking victims, how to navigate the online world, fire safety and what to do around an aggressive dog.

Calling all writers to join us for a fun time with the written word. No experience necessary for this non-pressure class that promises to be fun and creative. Each week a new topic will be introduced and at the end of the workshop you will get to take home a portfolio of your work.
Current session: January 7-March 31. No class February 18.
Join us in the gym on Wednesdays and burn off some energy with your little ones. Our instructor encourages fun games and will bring toys out for the children to play with. Parents/guardians must stay in the gym during this hour of supervised free play. Ages 9 months-5 with parent or guardian.
Celebrate your birthday at the Y! All you need to do is bring the cake and your camera,we’ll take care of the rest, including clean-up.
- Adventure Zone Party – For ages 3-7. Play for one hour in the Adventure Zone then get one hour in a decorated club room to celebrate the birthday child.
- Splash, Pool Party – For all ages. Swim for one hour, followed by one hour in a decorated club room.
- Sports Party** – For all ages. Half of the gym is yours for 1 hour, and then one hour in a decorated club room to celebrate the birthday child.
**Upgrade to the whole gym for $50 more.
- Tech Party -Spend two hours in the Youth Development Center (YDC) playing the latest games on our Nintendo Switch, Xbox Ones and computers.
- Custom Party -Don’t see a party option that meets your needs? Contact us and we can arrange a custom party that works for everyone!
Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 12 pm.
