At the Everett Family YMCA, we offer a wide variety of Health and Wellness programs from personal training to group exercises, including group cycle, aerobics, yoga, and specialty programs. View our group exercise schedules for more details.



Y Ironman Challenge February During the month of February, challenge yourself to complete the Ironman Challenge. That’s 27 extra days to finish! Anyone can do an Ironman.

  • Swim 2.4 miles
  • Bike 112 miles
  • Run 26.2 miles – that’s right, a marathon

Challenge your friends, or just have fun doing your very own Ironman! Use the equivalency chart to track your progress in miles on your tracking sheet. Pick up your tracking sheet at Welcome Center. Go ahead, you can do it!

Join us for a mini triathlon every Sunday beginning at 7:30am. This includes a 40 minute swim, 40 minute Spin and a run/walk/crawl outdoors. Each week you will start with either the swim or the bike depending on participation and space.

If you are preparing for your first ever tri or even an Ironman, this is for you! Complimentary child care is available during training.

90 Days to Wellness!

Grab a punch card for each of our ongoing “Together” classes (each format has its own punch card).  Complete 16 classes within 90 days you will automatically win a prize!  Or keep the cards until all boxes are filled and once you complete all 4 formats you will receive a complimentary 3 month membership for yourself or to give to your friend (working out with buddies is always better).  Grab a schedule today and start checking off the boxes.

When | Ongoing through the year and members can begin at any time, but must complete the punch card in 90 days.

Wellness Orientation

When you join the Y (or if you are already a member) you will receive 3 complimentary visits with your personal Wellness Coach. Learn how to work out in the Wellness Center as well as create workouts that can enable you to start off the right way at the YMCA. Once you have completed your 3 visits you will receive a special gift from us as well as started your own journey in becoming healthier for life!

Teen Strength Orientation: Ages 7-12

We offer an orientation class aimed at all youth users, designed to teach weight-room technique and etiquette. After three sessions members will earn access to exercise on their own.  Included with membership, make appointment at Welcome Center


Personal Training

No matter your current fitness level, a personalized program at the Y can help you achieve your goals. Motivation and accountability are at the core of Y Personal Training. Your trainer supports you at every physical challenge, encouraging you to try your hardest and keep you on track. Through personal attention and expert advice, your trainers will help you every step of the way. By Appointment only.  Age 12+.  Visit welcome desk to register.

LiveSTRONG at the YMCA

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a 12-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors. This program fulfills the important need of supporting the increasing number of cancer survivors who find themselves in the transitional period between completing their cancer treatment and the shift to feeling physically and emotionally strong enough to attempt to return to their normal life or their “new normal.”

The program is conducted outside of medical facilities to emphasize that LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is about health, not disease. In addition to the physical benefits, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA focuses on the emotional well-being of survivors and their families by providing a supportive community where people impacted by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond.

The bi-weekly 90-minute sessions take place in a small group setting and are adjusted to the individual’s ability level. The program is of no cost to participants and also includes a free Y membership for the session’s duration.

ACT! Actively Changing Together

The Actively Changing Together Program (ACT!) is a nutrition, activity, and self-improvement program for youth ages 8-14 who are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight. This program is designed to be a family program with one parent or guardian attending. The ACT! Program is offered two times per year at most YMCA branches. Children must be referred by a healthcare provider, dietitian, or school nurse and have a BMI greater or equal to the 85th percentile for their age.

The program is of no cost to participants.

Diabetes Prevention Program

You can reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes and gain tools for healthy living. The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a community-based lifestyle improvement program for adults with who are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes or have learned they are prediabetic. Its purpose is to empower adults with lasting lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and reduce their chance of developing diabetes.

In a relaxed classroom setting, a trained lifestyle coach will help facilitate a small group of participants in learning how to incorporate healthier eating and moderate physical activity into their daily lives.This is a one-year program, beginning with 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance sessions. Individuals who have already been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes do not qualify for this program.

Weight Loss Program

The Weight Loss Program is a 12-week, discussion group designed for adults who want to lose weight. Receive expert coaching and continuous group support, learn sustainable ways to eat healthier and move more in order to accomplish your weight loss goals. There are no gimmicks and no restrictive approaches, just the tools you need to make the necessary changes in your lifestyle.

Cost for the 12 week session is $99 for members and $199 for community members.

Pedaling For Parkinson’s

Pedaling a bicycle may change the life of someone with Parkinson’s disease. Research conducted at the Cleveland Clinic showed a 35% reduction in symptoms by the simple act of pedaling a bicycle at a rapid pace, optimally, 80-90 revolutions per minute. We do know that fast-paced cycling is changing the lives of increasing numbers of participants who, had no hope beyond medication and eventually surgery, to slow the progression of their disease.
