Dr. Art Grossman Memorial Bike Ride

Our friend lived and breathed the outdoors and the feeling of being on two wheels. In 2015 Art rode 14,000 miles in 1 year! He rode 100 miles per day at minimum. Art sadly passed away in December 2017 after a battle with ALS. There is no better way to honor his memory than by participating in what he loved to do the most. Let’s remember our friend and get on our bikes. Our goal is to accomplish what he did in 2015. We will ride 14,000 mile together, united in our love and memory of Art. Donations will be accepted and given in his name to the Everett YMCA. If you feel like bringing some treats to be share, please do so. As you know, Art did have a bit of a sweet tooth.
When: Saturday, April 14
Time: Distance riders can start at 7 am; families and recreational riders can start at 9 am. Ride ends at 5 pm
What: 14,000 miles accumulated throughout the day! The shortest course is 2.5 miles out and back, 5 miles total. The longest ride is 30 miles total. Riders track their own mileage and check in at the Red Barn.
Start Point: Nakashima Heritage Barn – Centennial Trailhead -32528 State Route 9, Arlington.(Follow SR9 to the address which is about 6 miles north of Arlington; park entrance is on the west side of the highway.)
