Y Access for All
Y Access For All
As a charitable non-profit organization the Y offers affordable membership and program pricing (based on household income) to individuals and families to ensure equitable access. With help from our “Access For All” Membership, individuals and families with lower income can receive assistance based on their household income on a sliding fee scale to make membership more affordable
With Access for All there is: No join fee; no complicated application process; a six-month and renewable membership term; simple income verification based on limited documentation; and no waiting time to use your YMCA following our quick income verification. Note: The YMCA will not keep or make copies of your personal financial information in verifying your income. Our staff simply needs to see and verify your personal income documents.
An Access for All Membership application is available at all YMCA branch Welcome Centers; and on the spot household income can be done at the time of membership application. Simply be ready to show two months of employment check stubs from all working adults in the household and your most recent tax return statement. If those documents are not available or applicable, the Y will accept paperwork documenting income assistance forms from other government or charitable providers to verify your income need.
If you would prefer a more private setting for application for assistance and discussion of household income and other financial needs, the Y invites you to make an appointment with YMCA’s Access For All administrator in your local branch.
If the assistance provided does not meet your needs, you are invited to complete the AFA “Supplemental Application” form to provide more detail of your particular financial circumstances. After application review, our Access For All administrator will meet with you to share how the Y may be able to provide more financial assistance.
