Bringing Back Hot Tubs, Open Swim, and More Lap Swim!
Since our pools reopened in late June, many members have shared their desire for more, easier access to our aquatics facilities. We heard you, and are excited to share more information about what’s coming this week:
More lap swim availability will be available starting Wednesday, October 14. Pools in Washington state with lanes that are at least 6 feet wide (like the Y has) can now have up to two swimmers in a lap lane at the same time. When you open our app to make your reservation, some reservations will be named, “Lap Swim (Shared Lanes)”. These are times where two swimmers may share a lap lane. If you do share a lane, you and your lane partner must rest on opposite sides of the lane, meaning you will be physically-distanced for the vast majority of your workout.
Open Swim is coming back later this week! You and your family will be able to reserve time in our pool for family play and/or relaxation. You’ll still need to bring your own towel and toys, and reservations are still required, but we can’t wait to welcome your family back to our pools! Our team is ironing out the final details to ensure you and your family have the safest experience possible.
Hot Tubs are BACK! Reservations will become available later this week, and we’ll share more information in the coming days about what to expect.
These changes are are a result of updates announced by the Office of the Governor on October 6. Y staff work diligently to ensure our facilities and services are meeting and exceeding local and state health guidelines so you and your family can return to the Y with confidence. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can’t wait to see you back at the Y!
