Days & Hours:
Monday-Friday, must be available between 7:30am-5:30pm
Education & Experience

Direct, assist, and plan extracurricular activities during the time of remote learning at Middle School Virtual Learning Centers. Working in program ratio, creating a safe, positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes participant safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.

Qualifications:
• Minimum age 21
• Prefer completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR completion of an associate’s degree.
• Previous experience working with middle school age youth
• One year or more previous supervisory experience
• Strong computer skills and experience with standard business software
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Fluency in second language desired

Responsibilities

• Oversees students in the remote learning setting for the purpose of maintaining and providing a safe and positive learning environment
• Assists students and Y staff for the purpose of completion of on-line leaning during designated synchronous/real-time instruction
• Work collaboratively with a team of staff to ensure every child is successful in learning.
• Participates in meetings and trainings for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving the child and family experience during remote learning
• Maintain communication with parents, conduct regularly scheduled parent conferences, and engage parents as volunteers
• Promote a diverse workforce; train, develop, schedule and direct personnel and volunteers as needed
• Review and evaluate staff performance, develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals
• Assure compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas and health and safety guidelines
• Ensure YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed
• Maintain proper records/department files
• Maintain materials, equipment, and program facility
• Assist in YMCA fund raising activities
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program.
• Perform other duties as assigned
