Youth Sports

Youth Sports emphasize the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while focusing on three key elements:

Character Building
By stressing teamwork and the Y’s core values, our sports leagues help teach youth how to be both good sports and good citizens. At the Y, what happens off the field is just as important as what happens on the field.

Skill Development
Our emphasis on teaching and personal improvement fosters an ideal environment for Youth Sports participants to learn and develop their athletic skills.

Caring Adults
We recruit parents, community members, and adult athletes who are committed to providing a positive experience for everyone. Each of our Youth Sports Coaches goes through a YMCA Coach's Orientation and commits to modeling the Y’s core values.

The Y is for everyone. Financial assistance is available.

Please note that not all youth sports programs are offered at every branch. To see what your local branch is currently offering, please click the View Program Guides button to the right or contact your branch's Director of Youth Sports.

Parents and Volunteers: Key to Our Success
The YMCA of Snohomish County's Youth Sports program serves more than 4,500 youth every year, providing many kids with their very first experience with sports and teamwork. To continue serving our communities, we need your help. Please visit the Coach's Corner in the lower right portion of this page for information about becoming a Coach, Volunteer Coach, or Team Assistant.
