Exercise Schedules

At the Monroe/Sky Valley Family YMCA, we offer a wide variety of Health and Wellness programs from personal training to group exercises, including group cycle, aerobics, yoga, and specialty programs. View our group exercise schedules for more details.

Racquetball Courts

Come play racquetball and volleyball at our Y. Spaces available all day, and you can reserve a court up to 24 hours in advance. We provide all the equipment you need, but feel free to bring your own equipment as well. Please call 360 805 1879 to reserve a court, or stop by the Welcome Center.

Wellness Yoga

This class is done mostly seated, and focuses on mobility needs: Increasing balance, core strength, joint mobility, movement pattern fluidity, nervous system and mind body connections. Catering to age related issues, people with Parkinson’s Disease, MS, and anyone who just wants to stay moving with stability, peace, and ease. Everyone is welcome, YMCA membership not required.

New Year, New You Challenge: Focus on Food | Ages 16+

Do you need to shake things up in the kitchen this new year? Try our six week nutrition challenge! Each week provides a small challenge to get you on the right track for 2018. And don’t worry, this challenge is about adding healthy foods and habits, not taking anything away! Prepare to get a taste outside your comfort food zone.

Intro to Group Exercise | Ages 12+

Have you ever walked by a group exercise class that you wanted to join but something was holding you back? Intro to group exercise is a four week session designed to help carry you past those barriers and get you comfortable in a group exercise setting. Sessions will be held twice a week in the morning and/or evening hours. Classes will be taught at an introductory level with progressions and digressions or modifications offered throughout. You can look forward to learning how to cycle, work through strength training and HIIT workouts and even jump on the TRX suspension trainers! Within the four weeks you will not only grow your confidence to join that group exercise class you had your eye on, but you can count on making a few friends to attend with you.

Mommy & Me Boot Camp | Ages Children Walkers – Pre K, Plus Mom

This this five week boot camp is designed for mommies to break away from their regular schedule at the gym and have some fun working out with their babies/toddlers in nontraditional ways. Mommy’s will use their little one’s weight for exercises like squats, overhead press, push-ups etc. Also, in this 45 minutes session, there will be a healthy snack or craft!

Mobile Hydrostatic Body Fat Testing Clinic

Make a step towards real progress with the Body Fat Test. Accurately benchmark your fitness level in just 10 minutes. Use that information to reach those goals you’ve had for years.

90 Days to Wellness

90 Days to Wellness is a special program designed for our members to have a healthy living experience like no other. During the 90 days members will have an opportunity to select one of three exclusive programs only offered at the Monroe YMCA where they will work with not only our amazing Wellness staff but also build relationships within our community. Members will be connected with a Wellness Coach that best fits their lifestyle and guided through three months of fitness and nutritional education. Some of our amazing program offerings included will be free wellness appointments (unlimited to you), group exercises classes, group cycle, walking group, pizza night, family fun activities and more.
