The YMCA’s Healthy Returns Partnership is more than a gym membership, it’s a partnership designed to help reshape your company culture to promote employee wellness. Over a 15-year period, the National Wellness Association studied 30 companies with ongoing employee wellness programs. Their findings:

- 22% fewer sick days
- 20-55% less overall healthcare costs
- 25% fewer injuries
- 16% fewer doctor visits
- 30% fewer worker’s comp and disability claims

HEALTHY RETURNS PARTNERSHIP
The goal of the YMCA Healthy Returns Partnership is to establish a three-way partnership between company, employee(s), and the Y. The partnership offers full access to all six YMCA of Snohomish County branches and all the benefits of a full facility member.
This partnership begins with the company determining to provide a subsidy to employee’s monthly YMCA membership fee. (The minimum company subsidy allowed is $5/month for all employees with a Y membership.) The YMCA joins the partnership with a match to the subsidy of $.50 on each $1 provided by the company (up to a $10 maximum each month per employee Y member.) The employee partners with “skin in the game” by paying the balance of the membership fee less the subsidy provided by employer and the Y.
