Brandon Nason was overweight as a child and weighed 335 pounds as a young adult. He had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and was pre-diabetic.
One day he woke up and decided to take control of his life and his health. “I had to choose to put the food into my mouth, and I had to choose not to get out of bed. And once I realized it was my choice, I chose differently.”
“The Y helps establish a sense of community is far more than a gym does. You have the old, the young, the fit, the unfit, and for me, it was a place where there was no judgment.”
Brandon lost 135 pounds, simply by changing his diet and exercise. He says it’s not easy, but he’s proof that it is possible.
