Minority Achievers Program Builds Strong Teens

Mikeal attends the Minority Achievers Program (MAP) at Voyager Middle School. “I enjoy reading and doing my homework after school,”declares Mikeal. “I was low on reading, but because of MAP I am able to spend more time on my reading and get extra help from MAP leaders with my homework. I just got four A’s and two B’s on my report card.”

“I have seen Mikeal improve not only on his academics, but also on his moral character,” said Louwanza White, Mikeal’s grandmother.

“Mikeal is more confident, ambitious, and happier because of MAP. It’s made him a better leader among his family members and friends.”
