Fitness Assessment
A fitness assessment is a series of physical tests used as a basic guideline to determine an individual's fitness level. An assessment includes the following measurements: blood pressure, estimated resting heart rate, height, weight, cardiovascular endurance/recovery heart rate, flexibility, and muscular strength and endurance. Make an appointment at the Member Services Desk and come dressed to workout.
Total Health Orientation
Whether you're a new or current member, we encourage you to attend a Total Health Orientation, at no charge to both members and non-members. This 45-minute session includes a self-evaluation survey, a discussion of the components of a healthy lifestyle and an introduction to the Y Total Health program. We'll explore ways to have fun exercising and look at the many different activities available at the YMCA.
Contact your local YMCA family branch for details and times.
