7th Period @ the Y

7th Period @ the Y includes supervised drop-in center, homework help, sports, STEAM activities and a whole lot of fun!

Grades

6-8

Dates

Monday-Thursday 3-6 pm, Friday 2-6 pm

Fee

$25 per month, per student

FREE for students that qualify for Free/Reduced Free Lunch

Transportation

Transportation included from Hidden River Route  265 & Park Place Route 247. Once your child is registered please call the office of the school they attend and let them know which bus your child is riding.

Middle School Madness

This after hours middle shool only event is sure to be a fun-filled night ever month

My Achievers Program

MAP is a dynamic program designed to motivate and support first generation minority youth to achieve higher education and career goals. Students participate in weekly sessions at their school for academic help as well as monthly field trips to college careers.

When

Park Place Middle School, Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 - 5 pm

Monroe High School, Mondays and Wednesdays

(No MAP on non-school days/breaks/holidays or early release days)

Age

Grades 6-12

Fee

Free - MAP packet must be completed

Additional Information

One Friday a month Middle School MAP students will be able to attend fun educational field trips. (See MAP calendar for more details)

Youth & Government

WASHINGTON YMCA Youth & Government

YOUTH LEGISLATURE / MOCK TRIAL

Through the process of identifying issues and developing solutions, young people build confidence in an environment that inspires them to act with integrity and respect. Students will get first hand experience in the legislative process and learn how to use your voice to make change as they write and then debate their own bills in the Washington State Capitol Building!
